Out & Wild Sapphic Voices
We at the F-List Music are pleased to announce that we have partnered with Out & Wild to launch Sapphic Voices, which is a music talent finder and mentoring programme! Out & Wild have won Arts Council Funding to support their project which aims to platform, mentor and support 6 queer female and non-binary musicians in the Southwest.
Through this programme, 6 musicians will get the paid opportunity to play at Out & Wild Festival in June, PLUS play at Plymouth, Cornwall and Exeter Pride events over a year period AND get year round training and mentoring from us at The F-List and free workshops and tickets from Out & Wild festival. Winners will also feature in DIVA magazine. Plus, another 14 runners up will benefit from FREE tickets to Out & Wild. Funding is £150 to play per act and the same for groups and solo artists. There is also a budget for travel and access needs you can apply for if required.
If you would like to enter for a chance to win, email info@outandwild.co.uk with the email titled ‘Sapphic Voices’, mention where you live (must be Devon or Cornwall resident), links to your social media platforms, and include a link to a video of you playing, either a gig or recording yourself. The deadline for applications are on the 28th March so make sure to apply soon!
To be eligible you can be a solo artist, or part of a band*. You just need to identify as LGBTQIA+ and be female or non-binary and resident in the areas of Devon or Cornwall.
