Josh Edbrooke

I am a founding member of the UK indie band ‘Transition前進樂團’, the first British band to be nominated for an original Mandarin music award. My background is the Bristol Indie scene, from which my band emerged in the early 00’s, but our connection with Taiwan influenced our direction as well as the language and style that we create. My own immersion in the Taiwanese music scene has led me to undertake my current research about gender equality in indie bands in Taiwan.
