Hello! I’m Hannah, an Ian Evans Lombe Scholar at the Royal College of Music, studying clarinet with Timothy Lines and Richard Hosford. I perform regularly in orchestras, chamber ensembles, funk and pop bands, as well as performing as a soloist. I enjoy performing a range of genres, from Classical to Jazz to Indie Rock.

I have performed orchestrally in orchestras such as the Klingen Chamber Orchestra, Royal College of Music Symphony Orchestra, the Royal College of Music Philharmonic Orchestra, and the City of Leeds Youth Orchestra to name a few. I’ve also performed in operas such as Puccini’s ‘La Bohème’ and Verdi’s ‘Macbeth’, as well as being in several pit orchestras for musical theatre.

I enjoy performing in chamber ensembles, and currently perform as part of the Mixolydian Trio – a London/Manchester based soprano, clarinet and piano trio, who perform recitals at concerts, as well as at private events. I am also part of up and coming clarinet quartet ‘The Quarts’, a London based quartet who enjoy discovering more contemporary music for the clarinet.

Exploring music is something I’m really interested in, and as singer, pianist and saxophonist, as well as a clarinettist, I have been able to explore the world of Jazz, Pop, Funk, Rock and Folk music through solo work, band performances, jazz bands, and small ensembles. Performing in bands, I’ve had the opportunity to sing at a variety of events, as well as perform saxophone solos from well known songs such as Pink Floyd’s ‘Money’, and arrange tunes such as Bill Withers’ ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’ for a funk/pop band.
