Esbe is a composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist from London, and a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music. She has composed and produced nine solo studio albums, an album collaboration with Daughters Of The Desert, and has just completed the OST for the film Raven co-written with fellow film composer Peter Michaels. Her music is an eclectic blend of many influences, from her pure classical roots, but uniquely drawing on contemporary, world music and film scoring. She is also sought after as a session singer and for string and vocal arrangements.
With her classical and Middle Eastern fusion projects, Esbe has toured the UK and Europe and performed commissions including a 50 minute work for Dance Umbrella and at the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Houses of Parliament, and her work has received international airplay and national features on BBC Radio 4 and with Cerys Matthews on BBC Radio 6.
Esbe’s writing has been partly inspired by her North African and Eastern European heritage, but is also informed by her love of Early Music, in particular, John Dowland, as well as British folk, jazz and Indian classical music. This eclectic blend makes for a unique and distinctive sound.
Esbe is also a graphic artist and designer. Her work can be seen at esbedesign.co.uk
