Bethany Weimers is an alt-folk singer-songwriter who records and produces tracks from her home studio in Oxford. Her music has been heard on radio stations such 6 Music, Radio 3, Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing Oxford; and she has toured in both the UK and Europe. Performance highlights include a packed-out show at the National Portrait Gallery in London and a sold-out house concert tour in Germany. She has shared bills with artists such as Aoife O’Donovan and Eliza Carthy, and co-written songs for other artists with writers in South Africa and USA. She has a Masters in Composition from Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and combines her music career with work as a voice director working with some of the UK’s top voice over actors. Musical influences include Agnes Obel, Nina Simone and Nick Cave and fans have likened Bethany to artists such as Regina Spector, PJ Harvey and the iconic Joan Baez.

After a 7 year hiatus she returned with stunning new material in 2022, releasing her hauntingly brilliant new track ‘Circles’. She is currently applying for funding to finish and release an EP. Meanwhile she received a Francis Chagrin Award grant from Sound and Music, with which she will spend time working on composing music for contemporary dance.
