A genre defying alternative folk fusion band based on the work of singer song writer Abi Rooley-Towle who fuses the vibe of early music, folk and sometimes a touch of jazz, world or electronic together with pithy poetic story telling lyrics. This is a new band formed in lockdown and they are about to release their debut single”Heartsease” to raise funds for Medecins Sans Frontieres. Abi’s previous work, debut ep “Azure Blue” can be heard on Bandcamp. She is an awarded World Citizen Artist for her song “When a Child Stands Alone”.
Abi received from Her Musicians during lockdown and produced three tracks under the band name Karuna. These tracks “Tipping Point”, “Shape of Water” and Heartsease received four/ five star reviews from music critics and received international radio play. One song was showcased on a n international YouTube environmental forum, that was connected to the Un, to convey there message about the environment.
Abi continues to work on genre melding, thought provoking original music in Scotland. Abi works as a holistic music educator , working with all ages.
Abi is also studying to be a counsellor. She has a portfolio career, utilising her many skills.
