Beth Karp Music

Beth is a singer, songwriter, musician and music producer living in Scotland. Her music is an amalgamation of varying styles, the more she explores the more she makes.

Labelled as a prolific songwriter, Beth wears her heart and her attitude in her music. It is how she communicates her thoughts feelings and emotions in the most eloquent way she can. She believes for standing up for the marginalised and those who feel like outsiders and bring light into those dark places. She shares anger, frustration, challenging subjects and escapism beautifully. Beth is multi talented and writes, she says “almost constantly at times”. Her ability to capture a mood or a feeling into a song which delves you into her vulnerability is quite extraordinary. She has her roots in alternative and indie rock/pop, and folk music, and likes to dip her fingers into other musical pies including dance, electronic, Americana, LoFi and more. Beth believes in spreading hope, questioning the status quo and loves how music gets to the heart and mind unlike anything else she has experienced. ​

Working from her studio, Beth is making music and also finishing her PhD researching trauma and music.

2021 saw the release of the alt rock album Polyhedron

2023 saw the release of Bloom, a beautiful album exploring a relaxed collection of songs all written and recorded in Scotland. Bloom was a solo project for Beth as she delved into ambient chilled trip hop singer songwriter vibes to share this body of work.

2024 started with the release of the album Roots/Routes,  an acoustic folk album which celebrates her evolving skills in electronic and orchestral composition alongside Beth’s talent for songwriting.

2024 also saw the gorgeous EP Fragmental release – an alternative singer songwriter ep bringing together eletronic synth layers, orchestral elements and found sounds to share themes of identity, growth, confusion and change.

In 2025 Beth embedded in a few collections and working on sync alongside releasing two upbeat full on attitude alt pop and alt rock tracks – PTB and Ghost.

Currently, Beth is working on a concept album and has two EP’s in production.

As a producer she challenges herself to not get comfortable in a lane, but to grow in her craft. As a songwriter she pours everything out on the page and is able to write in a vast and eclectic mixture of styles. She is no one trick pony.
