I formed Valeras along with Max in Reading a few summers ago. We immediately grabbed the attention of BBC Introducing who supported us with radio play, a spot on the R1 playlist and with an invitation to play the Reading and Leeds Festival in 2018.

R1’s Jack Saunders has supported us from the off and our songs have regularly been featured as “Midnight Drops’ and “New Wave” singles of the week. In 2019 Jack and his team invited us to play a live session at Maida Vale. His support has led to spot plays by Annie Mac, Huw Stephens and 6Musics Tom Robinson. We’ve also had great support from Radio X’s John Kennedy and George Godfrey.

We’ve had some great support from the DSP’s. With Spotify placing us on “New Music Friday”, “The Rock List” and “The Indie List”. We’ve also received international support from Apple Music and Deezer. On Spotify we’ve had over 1M streams and have approximately 10k listeners per month.

We are lucky to have Russell Warby at WME as our agent. We played a number of European Festivals last year including Mad Cool (Madrid) Sziget (Budapest) Lollapalooza (Stockholm) as well as some big UK Festivals such as All Points East and Reading and Leeds (Festival Republic Stage). We have also toured in support of Drenge, Yonaka, The Amazons, The Wombats and The Goo Goo Dolls during the last couple of years.

We have recently slimmed down the line up of the band into a duo and this has empowered us to hone our sound to match our vision and ambitions. We are delighted to have joined the Liquid Management roster in the last few months and we are really excited about releasing new music and playing live in 2021.
