Sam Lou Talbot

Sam Lou Talbot is a singer-songwriter, experimental composer, performance artist, and producer, based in Glasgow, UK. She holds a PhD in Music (Composition) from the University of Glasgow. Her ‘wild’ PhD – She Grows Louder – explored ‘spontaneous song’ through the lens of desire: the language of the body.

To date, Talbot has released three studio albums, her “beautifully intense” debut Mer-Made (2018), the “extraordinary” Body Down (2021) described as “unswerving, magnetic music from the hidden wilds of human reality”; the incendiary cosmic magnum opus Space Junk (2023); and the 4-track EP Blackout Baby (2023).

She is currently working on her next album – Sensoria – due to be released in 2026; and looking to start a band.
