Jeri has been playing and loving old-time fiddle for about a decade and is a founder of the Glasgow Old Time Session. After playing all of the major folk festivals in Australia, she went travelling and jamming through North America and Europe, settling in Scotland in 2018. She now works as a session musician and tours with a wide variety of projects including The Fountaineers. Influences include: Brittany Haas, Bruce Molsky, Tommy Jarrell, Tara Nevins, Rayna Gellert and Rhiannon Giddens.

A well-established clawhammer banjo player on the UK scene, Ruth’s rhythmic and melodic clawhammer style draws on her love of traditional old-time Appalachian music as well as contemporary banjoists.  She also plays in Blue Lass, an all-female five-piece old-time and bluegrass band. Influences include Allison De Groot, Adam Hurt, John Herrman, Sarah Jarosz, Abigail Washburn, Chris Coole, Frank Evans.

Join them together and the sparks start flying! Jeri and Ruth have spent many a late hour jamming at festivals and now join forces as a duo to produce powerful, driving fiddle and banjo tunes and songs. They will be recording an album in Autumn 2023.
