GIGSY

GIGSY is an electronic indie rock pop musician who blends the classic dark synth pop sound of the 80s, with the brash female vocals of the 90s and the rise of electronica pop from modern day. She’s been compared to the likes of MARINA, Gwen Stefani, Kate Bush, Lady Gaga and Grimes.

Taking inspiration from her favourite artists such as Charli XCX, Lady Gaga, Marina, Twenty One Pilots and Rina Sawayama, GIGSY loves to experiment with texture, layers and styles. She has been making music since the age of 15, and at the age of 23 has begun to embark on the new phase of her passion for music with the release of her EP ‘MODESTA: Volume 1’. The EP takes the sound of classic 80s synth pop (reminiscent of Depeche Mode, Gary Numan, Tears for Fears etc), and the modern sound of electronic pop rock to create the perfect blend of old and new in this multifaceted EP.

GIGSY has been backed by BBC Introducing Oxford as well as performing at local venues and festivals like Truck, Common People, O2 Academy, The Bullingdon & Jericho Tavern, with experience of 5+ years of live performing. She is self taught, self produced and self marketed, everything she creates is by her own hand as a self proclaimed ‘DIY Artist’.
