Alys Llywelyn-Hughes

Alys Llywelyn-Hughes is a singer-songwriter based in North Wales with strong connections within the music scene across Wales.

With her solo project Lunar Glass, Alys makes electronic pop music with a mission to unite, encourage and empower people and to connect them with each other. The Lunar Glass sound has a danceable beat and memorable lyrics with Alys’ beautiful clear voice added to the mix.

In 2020, during the Covid pandemic, Alys co-wrote and recorded the album ‘Gyda‘n Gilydd’ with musician, Siôn Lewis. It was released under the name Cwtsh in February 2021 during the third lockdown. The album was shortlisted for Best Album of the Year by the National Eisteddfod of Wales in June 2021.

As a bilingual Welsh and English musician, Lunar Glass has released songs in both languages. Aside from writing own material, Alys also works on selected collaborations and is open to vocal projects.
