Helen is a prolific Alternative-Folk Singer-Songwriter from Leicester, United Kingdom. She initially trained as a classical violinist and composer with songwriting as a hobby but transitioned to a full-time songwriter during her degree. In 2013 she began writing pop music and released her first album ‘The Little CD of Optimistic Sadness’ in November 2014. In January 2015 she began to sell physical copies of her second album ‘Sorry What!?!’. A third album ‘Something Very Witty’ was released in July 2015, followed shortly by her last amateur album ‘Up The Creek’ in October 2015.
After a brief hiatus, in Summer 2017 she began the ‘Spectrum Era’ with a demo album called ‘Savious’. From this also came the electronica EP sequence consisting of ‘Fighting Talk’, ‘Mama’, ‘The Platform’ and ‘Kaleidoscope’ that began in September 2018 and was completed in July 2020.
Her music has been described as “Breathtaking” “Completely Unique” and “Out of this world”
As a songwriter she was a consistent collaborator with Indie-Electronic Band Munchies and the band as solo artists. In 2019 she completed a masters in music at the Leeds College of Music and began working on her first official album. As of autumn 2020 she has written approximately 400 songs and 50 pieces of classical music.
As an instrumentalist she has trained and performed as a fiddle-singer, lead orchestral sections as a viola player, and played keys for multiple bands including a 12 piece indie-soul band.
