Jasmin Butler

Jasmin Butler’s songwriting draws on a wide base of artistic influences and is often described as sophisticated indie-folk. Overarching themes in her writing are varied, exploring socio-political and personal topics through striking detailed lyrics and memorable melodies. Musically, Jasmin’s approach is diverse and varied resulting in a unique sonic footprint, what has been described as ‘reminiscent of a female Elvis Costello’.

A lifelong Londoner, Jasmin has played lead guitar and written songs in bands, before beginning a new solo project in 2016. A regular on the London live circuit, JasminButler released her first EP ‘Young Man’s Game’ in 2020. This release was accompanied by a series of self organised and promoted gigs at LondonVenues in 2019/2020 included Slaughtered Lamb and PaperDress Vintage, each with an
exciting hand-selected line-up. Jasmin’s music has also been played on internet radio, such as Hoxton Radio’s ‘Get in Her Ears’ show.

Jasmin will release her debut album in May 2021
